Three leaders of the opposition have already resigned and the results have barely even finished being counted. Taking responsibility for your actions is not too often found within politics however when your party gets demolished at a general election there’s not much else you can do as the leader apart from call it a day.

The outspoken comic come-political commentator recently hedged all his bets on Labour and got behind Team Miliband with all his might. Unfortunately it seems that his new found love of voting made no bit of difference as Labour failed miserably to evict Cameron from 10 Downing Street.
